Community Day is an annual Tufts tradition, celebrating arts, innovation and community. Neighbors are invited to join us on our Medford/Somerville campus, along with community partners, students, staff, and faculty for a day of live entertainment, family friendly activities, and free food.

Celebrating Arts & Innovation

Join neighbors, families, and friends for the return of our Annual Tufts Community Day!
Sunday, October 2, 2022 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Academic Quad (labeled as "The Green" in Google maps) of the Medford/Somerville campus.

Tufts Community Day Sunday Oct. 2, 2022 11am-3pm
  • Live Performances: song, dance, music, and theater!
  • Children’s Activities including, crafts, STEM, portrait artists, story time, jumbo lawn games
  • Medford and Somerville community groups and resources
  • Research projects by Tufts University faculty
  • Free Raffle to local restaurants and small businesses
  • Free food and refreshments

All activities are free and open to the public

Update as of 9/7/22Tabling spaces for the 2022 Tufts Community Day are almost full, but you may still complete the participation form below. Submissions made after 9/7 will be considered on a rolling basis depending on cancellations or additional space becoming available. Thank you!

Interested in participating at Tufts Community Day by tabling? We welcome non-profits and municipal resources from Medford and Somerville. We also welcome Tufts student clubs, academic departments, faculty, and other Tufts organizations to participate! Click the button below to fill out a participation form. Please note that campaigning, fundraising, and commercial/retail activity are not permitted at Community Day.

Parking

Free parking is available from 9am-5pm:

  • In any space on any space on the main campus.
  • Tufts parking garage, 419 Boston Avenue, Medford. Take the Garage Elevators to the 7th floor and exit at the footbridge to the Academic Quad (also known as The Green). *Please note that upper levels of the parking garage are under construction and spaces may be limited.  

Event Will Be Held Rain or Shine!

The event will only be cancelled in case of extreme weather. Cancellation information can be found on the Tufts University website, www.tufts.edu
