In response to COVID-19 and the changing needs of our community partners, Tufts University offered emergency grants to non-profit organizations serving residents impacted by COVID-19 in the cities of Medford and Somerville. These grants were meant to meet urgent community needs addressed by non-profits such as emergency food distribution, equipment purchases, and educational resources. This program was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Michael Lainoff, A84, A21P and Kathryn Kincaid, A21P.

Tufts awarded a total of twenty $1,000 grants to non-profits in Medford and Somerville. Funding will support the purchase of PPE, changing technology needs, mental health programs, meal distribution, and many more initiatives serving neighbors in Tufts' host communities.
